The Taskrabbit Summer Drop: New Partners, New Possibilities

13/08/2025

We’ve been working behind the scenes this summer to make tasking smoother, smarter, and more rewarding. From exciting new partner opportunities to Tasker playlists here’s everything you need to know.

Meet New Partner Tasks

We’ve teamed up with top brands to bring you partner tasks — pre-booked, fixed-price gigs that are easy to accept and complete. These tasks make it easy for clients to book and easier for you to get jobs.

Here’s how they work:

  • You’ll receive invites based on your skills and availability
  • Tasks are clearly marked with the brand name + logo
  • Fixed pricing = you’ll see your exact earnings upfront
  • You can’t add expenses, but you’ll still set your own hourly rate for non-partner tasks
  • You’ll chat with the client like normal to confirm access, parking, etc.

Say hey to our first partners!

Quick Policy Reminders (You’ve Got This)

We’re keeping it breezy, but here’s a quick refresh to help you stay in top shape:

Make Cancellations at Least 24 Hours in Advance
Please schedule tasks only when you’re confident you can complete them. If something comes up, reschedule instead of canceling — and always give at least 24 hours’ notice. This helps you build trust and avoid potential fees or account limitations.

Maintain Accurate Schedule Availability
Keeping your availability current ensures you only receive tasks you can actually complete. Need to change the time? Reschedule instead of canceling. Note: It’s not allowed to reschedule a task that was set to start within 24 hours and then cancel the rescheduled version. Repeated rescheduling of the same task without completion is also prohibited.

Detail Skills & Experience Descriptions
Want to attract the right clients? Be specific! Mention relevant experience and tools you use in each category. Just avoid listing fees or contact info — that’s not allowed in your profile.

Keep Communication On-Platform
Always use Taskrabbit’s in-app chat or call features for any task-related communication. Don’t share personal contact info. If the task changes (like added work or bringing an assistant), confirm it with the client in chat. This keeps everything documented and protects you if support is needed.

Respect Review Guidelines
Reviews should be authentic and never pressured. You can request one review using the in-app template, but only once and only via Taskrabbit. Asking for changes or following up outside the platform isn’t allowed.

Understand Your Rates & Hours
Charge accurately for the total time worked. For fixed-rate tasks (like partner tasks), the rate is set. For everything else, your hourly rate applies.

Follow the Invoicing Policy
After the first hour, bill in 15-minute increments based on actual labor time. Send your invoice within 24 hours of completing the task. If no work is done, cancel the task instead of invoicing. If you bring an approved assistant, their time should be included as labor hours (not expenses) and confirmed with the client in the chat.

Stick to the Expense Policy
Only charge for necessary items purchased to complete the task — and only in eligible categories. You must get approval from the client in chat and upload a receipt. Expenses aren’t allowed for partner tasks, and they’re capped at $100 (or $150 for Trash and Furniture Removal).
