As an Elite Tasker who works in the Moving, Assembly, and Outdoor Maintenance categories, Tasker Lionel R.<\/a> knows what it means to be hard working. He has built a business on Taskrabbit by being hyper-aware of the ins and outs of the platform, what he needs to know for each skill he tasks in, and how his clients perceive him. His priority? To make his clients\u2019 day, no matter what the task is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We chatted with Lionel to get his thoughts on life as a Tasker and his tips for maximising tasks in his favorite category: Moving. Check out what he had to say below!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the first thing people need to know when it comes to running a Moving business on Taskrabbit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReviews matter\u2014you may not think that clients aren\u2019t reading, but they are,\u201d Lionel says.
\u201cI look at every review like a credit towards my Moving \u2018master\u2019s degree.\u2019 The more reviews I have, the more confidence it builds in the client\u2019s mind, and that\u2019s extremely important.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tangentially, proper etiquette during Moving tasks matters. Lionel always uses \u201cS & S\u201d\u2014his personal code for \u201cscoping\u201d and \u201csetting expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI need to know everything I possibly can to be prepared for a task, because preparedness often leads to great performance. Setting expectations always helps\u2014for example, letting the client know I\u2019m male, that I\u2019m strong and able to lift heavy items, etc. The \u2018S\u2019 never stands for \u2018super,\u2019 even though the reviews may say otherwise. That label can only be given by a client after you do great work.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have any basic rules or processes you follow with every Moving task? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt may be common sense, but just recognise that we are all human regardless of relationship\u2014meaning be respectful, show empathy, and be conscious of time,\u201d Lionel says. \u201cSimply asking clients \u2018How are you?\u2019 is a great start\u2014it shows you care and demonstrates that you’re there to help.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
