Taskrabbit has partnered with Wayfair to offer Furniture Assembly booking directly at checkout. This means Wayfair customers can now add Taskrabbit assembly services when they purchase furniture, creating a smoother, start-to-finish shopping experience.
The partnership first launched in London and is now going live across the UK! It’s an exciting step forward for Taskrabbit’s growing network of retail partnerships and further reinforces Taskrabbit as the go-to assembly solution for major home retailers.
For Taskers, this means more opportunities to receive confirmed Furniture Assembly jobs through a trusted retail partner.
Partner Tasks are Live
If you offer Furniture Assembly, you’re automatically eligible to receive task invitations from our partner, Wayfair.
Here’s how partner tasks work:
You’ll Receive Invitations Based on Your Availability
Partner task invitations are sent based on the availability you set in the app and the skills you have enabled. These tasks will always be clearly labelled with the partner’s name and logo, so you’ll know right away when a job comes through this programme.
Partner Tasks Use Task-Based Pricing
All partner tasks use Task-Based pricing, which means the price is fixed based on the items being assembled. Each furniture item has its own associated assembly price, which the task pricing is based on. You’ll see exactly how much you’ll earn for the task before you accept it.
A few important things to note:
- Earnings are predetermined for each task based on the items being assembled
- Expenses cannot be added to partner tasks
- You can still set your own hourly rates for non-partner tasks
This setup helps make the booking process smoother and clearer for both you and the client.
Accepted Jobs = Confirmed Jobs
Once you accept a partner task invitation, you can proceed just as you would with any other task. Just note that you do not need to wait for a chat response to proceed since partner job clients may not always use the app.
However, you are still encouraged to connect with clients via the app to chat or call and confirm details to ensure you’re fully prepared. For example, you might ask about:
- Parking availability
- Building access or gate codes
- Where the furniture will be assembled
Overall, the partner task booking flow is designed to reduce friction, minimise cancellations, and help you receive more consistent jobs.
How to Opt Out of Partner Tasks
If you prefer not to receive partner task invitations, you can turn them off at any time.
Just follow these steps:
- Go to the Performance tab
- Select Skills & Rates
- Under See skills, select Furniture Assembly
- Go to the Partners tab on the category screen
- Toggle each relevant partner on or off
You can also remove the Furniture Assembly skill entirely. If you do, you will no longer receive automatic partner task invitations associated with that skill. You can always re-enable the skill later if you change your mind.
